Cake smash pictures

Well Monkeyman is going to be one soon!  I can't believe my baby boy's birthday is fast approaching!  A silly and popular thing to do is a cake smash- you basically set a cake in front of the birthday child and let them go at it while you take pictures.  It was so much fun!  Definately glad there was 2 of us though to keep the mess down :)

11 months old!

Wow I can't believe my little man is already 11 months old! 
He is still surprising me with what he is learning and doing all the time.  A few weeks ago he started walking while holding onto anything he can push along the floor.  He now is an expert at doing it with his boots/bar on too!  I will have to post some videos when I get a chance to get them off the phone.

I did a photo shoot for monkeyman's 11 month today- we had alot of fun.  He is badly in need of a haircut- which will happen this coming weekend when his Aunt and Uncle come to visit.  Could be interesting as he hates sitting- I'm sure his Auntie is more patient and has a few tricks for squirmy kids :)

Monkey man now says - momma, dada, nana (banana), all done, wawa (water), he pants for his puppy, and there are a few more that I can't think of right now.

First Easter for my 10 month old monkey!

Things have been busy here, the weather has been nice so we have been getting out for nice walks, monkey man loves his new trike!  He is still a go go go kind of boy and does not like sitting still so any travelling is tricky, some times he surprises us and does amazing but then the next time not so much.

Well I'm a bit late but decided to post some pictures of monkey man that I did just before Easter. Taken the day he turned 10 months.

Such a bad mommy this month- his 10 month picture with his stuffed puppy was taken almost a week late.  Oh well he is still 10 months at least!

                                                 

Not much else to write about- we go back to see Dr.Joughin in a week and a half.  Will need new shoes for sure by then.  It is just a check up to make sure his feet are still looking good after going down to night/naps for wearing his boots/bar.  

Busy busy

Well I realize it has been a few weeks since I last posted.  Life is busy around here.  Monkey man never stops!  He is walking around furniture and toys, crawling non stop, and trying to explore everything especially if it isn't his own stuff.  Another thing he is now doing is crawling up the stairs.  He started doing this without his boots/bar on but within a day he has mastered doing it both ways!  There is no stopping that boy!  Needless to say he is very proud of himself as am I and the stairs are a huge magnet now so we go up and down many many times each day!  Have to keep this short as it is almost time to get Monkeyman ready for bed.

9 Months!

I can't believe it has been 9 months since the most amazing Monkeyman came into my life!  I love him more everyday! 
It is so much fun to watch his personality really start to come out.  He is a go go go kind of boy.  Loves to smile and laugh and does a super cute squinty eye giggle that melts my heart.
He made it up one stair on his own a few times which is scary!  Not ready for that! He is starting to walk holding onto his toys and furniture- without and with the shoes on! With the shoes on scares me as I worry that he is going to roll his ankle or break an ankle.  I do find he has a bit harder time trying to figure out how to get away from a toy he is standing at when he has the shoes on.  Sometimes I have to rescue him but most the time he can figure it out eventually.  Also might be because he is tired since his shoes go on just before bed.

I think he has a sensitivity to watermelon- he only had it twice.  The first time he ate ALOT and his back went really red and had some rash on his face by his mouth.  The next time he only had a few pieces and he ended up with red where the juice went down his chin and a little bit of a rash.  I am going to eat it by myself and try again in a month or so to see if he still reacts.  It is too bad since he loved it!
