Good news

Just had our ultrasound to check on Boo and everything looks good and we won't be Goin through the clubfeet journey this time. I was fully prepared to go through it again but glad we won't have to especially in the winter to all the appointments when I dot like driving in winter. Monkeyman did great watching the ultrasound althought he wasn't overly impressed to e stuck in one room for that long lol

One more sleep!

Well tomorrow is the day we should find out if Boo is going to have to go through the clubfeet journey like Monkeyman. I'm nervous but so excited to see Boo again. This pregnancy hasn't been the easiest although it could be far worse as well. I have started feeling a lot of movements in the past few weeks. Monkeyman was a jabber but this one is a dancer- doesn't stop once they start and can go on for hours lol. I love it except when I need sleep :) Monkeyman's toes are looking a lot better but not 100% yet. He has been busy figuring out how to turn around to get down the stairs so now he goes up and down instead of sitting at the top stuck. He loves being a hurricane or tornado- he tears apart a room in a few minutes! He keeps me busy and I love that little man!

Ingrown nails

Well we did our little trip to the ACh for the broken shoes. Apparently it is a common problem they see with the strong kids- that's my boy! We ended up paying for new shoes since they didn't have any wider shoes his size. They are right on the end and might only get a few months use but the next size up were too big and would cause more toe troubles. My boy has ingrown toe nails on both feet on his big toes. A common baby problem which unfortunately are also common with the clubfeet babes. I'm supposed to use rubbing alcohol and push the sides up with that- should be fun considering Monkeyman hates sitting still and it will sting too :( hopefully with wider shoes they heal up quicker

Broken shoes and big news

Well we are headed back to the ACH tomorrow for new shoes. I don't think he needs the next size up yet although he is near outgrowing these ones. The hardware on the left boot is broken- so the shoe wobbles and we need to get them changed before they break completely. Hopefully we can get in and out quickly as we don't have an Appointment- we will just see the nurses to get the new ones. Monkeyman also has ingrown toe nails on his big toes- not a club foot issue- just a baby thing with the nails being so soft. I have a few Tips to try and hope it works. They aren't infected so that is good. I don't think I have mentioned it on the blog but Monkeyman is going to be a big brother in November! We should find out in just over 2 weeks whether we will be embarking on the clubfeet journey again. While I do hope we won't have to it isn't the end of the world if we do. My main concern if we do is the early appointments for castings and having to bring a 17 month old to them and trying to be there for both my babies- the little one while getting casts on and screaming and my big boy if he has a hard time with that. But if we need to do it we will make it through and it will become just another memory like monkeyman's castings already are.

Happy Birthday Monkeyman!

Well my little boy is 1!  I can't believe it has already been a year since we were blessed with such a loving, determined, adventerous and handsome young man! As I look back over the year I am so proud of my monkey- he let's nothing stop him and I hope this is a trait that he takes with him throughout his life!  Watching him grow and learn has amazed me, he has also taught me so much.  Through our journey with clubfeet I have learned not to underestimate him, to give him space he needs tp learn new things (even when they scare me- remember my kid has learned to roll over, crawl, climb stairs, walk and run while wearing his boots and bar) as well as the snuggles he needs when his attempts don't get the results he wants.  His smile and laugh are so contagious; he has brought such happiness to our lives!  I love how whenever he hears music (even if it is only in his head) he starts to rock out by headbanging- no idea where he got this from but it is so cute!  I love how he tickles me!  I love how he snuggles!  I love how he just likes to go go go (even if there are times I would love for him to sit still)!  I love everything about my monkeyman!  I look forward to seeing what the next year will bring for him.  Here are a few pictures I took the last couple days of my big guy. Oh how I love this boy!
